CONNECT,
formerly Women's Support Services, is Martha's Vineyard's
domestic and sexual violence center providing direct services to
survivors and significant others such as individual and group support,
legal and medical advocacy, and providing 24 hour a day crisis response.
CONNECT
uses a new and innovative approach to violence prevention
that makes interpersonal violence a public civic issue instead
of a private and secretive one. We strive to involve the broader
community in the prevention of violence. Through community organizing,
coalition building, education, and development of leadership,
we are taking action to prevent violence on Martha's Vineyard.
