 UPDATED 8.11.21

The Chicken Alley Thrift Shop’s annual Art and Collectibles Sale (originally scheduled for August 15th) will be postponed to October due to growing concerns over the current Delta variant of COVID and recommendation from the Vineyard Haven Board of Health.

An in-person event is tentatively rescheduled for October, and select items will be available for purchase in the store and online at www.chickenalley.org.

“We are grateful to the Chicken Alley Advisory Committee, chaired by Liza May, and the Art Sale sub-committee, led by Jeri Dantzig and Peter Marciniak, for their ongoing commitment to Chicken Alley and this event, and we look forward to working together to revamp the Chicken Alley Art and Collectibles Sale 2021,” said Barbara Bellissimo, Vice President of Development, Marketing & Communications.

Art from the community for the community.

The Thrift Shop’s beloved Art & Collectibles Sale is made possible through generous donations of community members near and far. Throughout the year special items are set aside for the sale and we can’t wait to share them with you!

Art Sale History

The annual Art and Collectibles Sale, founded by volunteer and patron Olga Hirschhorn in 2002, has become one of the most anticipated summer events amongst Islanders and visiting collectors, featuring a curated collection of local paintings, antiques, vintage items, collectibles, Island curiosities, and unique pieces selected from thousands of generous donations that the shop receives throughout the year.

” I think the art show really reflects the prominence of the Martha’s Vineyard art scene while bringing in a large range of people.”
