Intervention Center Director
Martha’s Vineyard Community Services is seeking a dynamic leader for a new Intervention Center located on the campus in Oak Bluffs. The Center will provide a triage system for urgent care, brief interventions, assessments, and immediate access to appropriate services for both mental health and substance use disorder. The Center will provide an intermediate step for people who need a higher level of care, but do not need hospitalization. The new Director of the Center will assist with the development of the program, recruit and train staff and be responsible for developing a comprehensive community suicide prevention education program. The successful candidate will have a valid Massachusetts license in a Mental Health related field or hold a valid license for a Nurse Practitioner. Previous experience in treating substance use disorder, suicidal ideation and emergency services strongly preferred. Previous experience as a supervisor preferred.
Director of Administration and Finance
Martha’s Vineyard Community Services is seeking a Director of Administration and Finance. This position is responsible for monitoring internal controls for accounting, auditing, budgeting, purchasing, inventories, payroll, and administrative services functions. The incumbent will manage daily administrative and financial activities, including financial record keeping and production of financial statements. The position is responsible for preparation of the final operating budgets and forecasts; monitoring revenues and expenses against approved budget. An understanding of healthcare or insurance reimbursement and non-profit experience preferred.
The Island Wide Youth Collaborative (IWYC), under the direction of MVCS, is seeking a Case Manager. This position serves as a IWYC liaison to the Island schools and other Island programs for youth, as well as a primary coordinator of services for individuals and families. Required qualifications include: prior case management experience and a background in social services or in a mental health setting.

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services Island Counseling Center is seeking a non-bargaining unit, full-time clinical supervisor to join the Island Counseling Center team. The Clinical Supervisor, in conjunction with the management team will provide leadership, support and guidance in the administrative and clinical management of the operations of ICC. Responsibilities include providing administrative and clinical oversight of ICC programs, supervision of staff, staff development and direct services to clients. A minimum of (4) four years post-licensure in a mental health/substance setting with strong knowledge and treatment experience of mental health and substance use disorders. At least (2) two years of supervisory experience in direct supervision, group supervision or peer supervision is desired.
Martha’s Vineyard Community Services Island Counseling Center is seeking a part-time recovery coach. A Recovery Coach serves as a recovery guide or role model in the management of recovery and assists recoverees to identify and overcome barriers to recovery from substance abuse. The Recovery Coach connects recoverees with support services and provides non-judgmental, problem solving and advocacy to assist those in recovery to reach their recovery goals. Completion of a Recovery Certification training is required. Part Time work, per diem, HS diploma minimum.
Licensed Outpatient Clinician
Martha’s Vineyard Community Services Island Counseling Center (ICC) is seeking Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers for the community based outpatient behavioral health service system. As part of a therapeutic team, clinicians will provide supervision for MSW staff on track to licensure, office and home-based individual, family and group therapeutic services to a diverse caseload of all ages. Experience in contract management preferred. Bilingual (English/Portuguese) a plus. MVCS is the sole OP clinic for MH/SA and crisis services on the Island. It has a rich history of success and many creative projects in development.
