Supervised Visitation Center Security Officer
CONNECT to end violence, a program of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, is seeking a Supervised Visitation Center Security Officer. This position is responsible for providing security for visitation facilitated between children and non-custodial parents. The position is per diem per the visitation center schedule. Responsibilities include but are not limited to securing the premises and conducting safety checks of individuals. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and personal safety skills. Bachelor’s Degree, and/or equivalent experience in the field of personal security or public safety. Valid driver’s license and transportation required. Bilingual (English/Portuguese) a plus.
Emergency Services Shift Worker
Martha’s Vineyard Community Services Island Counseling Center is seeking a Masters level mental health clinician for a part time position in Emergency Services. Provide mental health evaluations to individuals and families in crisis, urgent care services and supporting the administrative functions of our Emergency Services Team. Must have transportation. Bilingual (English/Portuguese) a plus.
Licensed Outpatient Clinician
Martha’s Vineyard Community Services Island Counseling Center is seeking Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers for the community based outpatient behavioral health service system. As part of a therapeutic team, clinicians will provide supervision for MSW staff on track to licensure, office and home-based individual, family and group therapeutic services to a diverse caseload of all ages. Experience in contract management preferred. Bilingual (English/Portuguese) a plus. MVCS is the sole OP clinic for MH/SA and crisis services on the Island. It has a rich history of success and many creative projects in development.
Martha’s Vineyard Community Services’ Island Counseling Center is seeking a Therapeutic Mentor for our In-Home Therapy, Therapeutic Mentoring, and Mobile Crisis Intervention services. Full and part time year round positions available. The Youth Mentor will provide outreach, home-based direct services to children and families dealing with behavioral health issues. In the Mobile Crisis Intervention role the mentor will work with a team to respond to families in crisis. The successful candidate will work with families to improve communication skills, role model appropriate interventions, provide one-to-one mentoring to children, and build problem solving skills with the family. The Youth Mentor is part of a therapeutic team and will coordinate services with other service providers. Must be available for rotating on-call duty. College diploma plus experience working with children and families with behavioral health issues preferred. Bilingual (English/Portuguese) a plus.
