- The Family Support and Stabilization Program (FSSP) is a service which builds on the existing strengths of families, and works to improve family skills while reducing protective risk. The goals of the program are to stabilize the family, reduce child protective risk, reduce out of home placement and provide skills to the family that will improve overall functioning. The program is family centered and child driven and it maintains that community involvement is a crucial player in keeping the child safe and stable in a familiar environment. The goal of FSSP is to reduce and/or eliminate the protective risk to Department of Children and Families identified children through services that are family based and the least disruptive to the child.
