Ways to Support
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Winston Churchill.
Did you know that more than 6,000 of our neighbors rely on MVCS for help through our six core programs?
In 1961, MVCS made a promise to be there for all in need regardless of their ability to pay for service. We’ve been able to keep that promise for 54 years because of caring and committed neighbors like you.
MVCS is a private 501c3 non-profit organization that relies on contributions to operate. Many of the services provided by MVCS are free, and where fees are charged, they are determined on a sliding scale and are based upon the ability of an individual or family to pay. Funding comes from:
- State, federal and local contracts for services.
- Fees charged for services, often reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance (totaling 40%). No one is turned away for financial reasons.
- The community provides a vital 15% of the total budget through private donations.
